For the Love of Nature
Celebrating Nature through words and art. A Myra Woods Memorial Project.
For the Love of Nature is a project that uses the arts to connect young people with nature to improve their self-confidence and their social, emotional and mental health. It was designed in memory of Myra Woods, a regular visitor to Slimbridge with a love of nature journaling.
These resources were designed to support teachers and students taking part in the project but can equally be used as standalone resources to support learning in the classroom. They support work on poetry, creative writing, visual arts and rap with links to a range of other curriculum areas.
Follow-up guide
This guide supports students as they develop their own pieces of creative writing, poetry, visual art and raps following their participation in the ‘Inspiration Days’
