Things to see and do
With more than enough to fill a whole day, there’s so much to see and do at London Wetland Centre.

Explore our ponds
Our purpose-built Pond Zone is home to a variety of fascinating creatures providing fantastic opportunities for pond dipping in a safe and secure environment. Book our staff-led pond dipping session and you’ll be amazed what your learners discover.

Get up close to stunning birds
Close encounters with wildlife is one of the unforgettable joys of visiting the centre. Get close to ducks, swans and geese from around the world and learn how WWT is working to ensure their survival.

Have fun in our Discovery Zone
With villages to build, wetlands to explore and raindrops to shoot, our indoor Discovery Zone is a great place to learn all about wetlands through interactive puzzles and games.

Watch wildlife from our child-friendly hide
Enjoy bird watching from the comfort of our Headley Hide which comes complete with comfy chairs, ID guides and large windows that look out over our main lake. Designed with children in mind, it’s the perfect place to watch our wonderful wildlife.

Meet the otters
Watch our otters playing and feeding. Discover how they are adapted to their wetland home at one of our otter talks.

Enjoy our adventure playground
With zip slides, giant vole tunnels, a climbing wall and water games in the summer, our Explore adventure playground is always a highlight. Book a slot for your class to ensure you don’t miss out.

Wander through our Wild Walk
Meander along balance tracks winding their way through reeds, traverse our stepping logs and see if you can cross the wobbly rope bridge without getting your feet wet. Wild Walk is a fantastic challenge for all ages!

Chill out in our Sustainable Gardens
Our Rain Garden and Slate Garden are full of beautiful wildflowers, calm ponds and bug hotels. Lizards, bees, dragonflies and butterflies all love this area as much as we do!
