Added extras
Adventure Playground
Are you looking to allow your group to let off some steam and, more importantly, tire them out for the coach journey home? Our adventure playground has climbing, sliding and balancing equipment plus a wet play area with squirty rocks and sprinklers controlled by the children. We can book you a half-hour slot on your timetable.
Cost: FREE
Wild Walk
Go off the beaten track and into the wild wetlands, with a reedbed maze and balance beams through the swamp. The whole area is fenced and you can keep an eye or an ear on the safety of your children from the middle maze lodge. Our guided learning sessions on plants and water cycle use Wild Walk, but it is still great to explore under your own steam.
Cost: FREE
Gift Shop
We have plenty of fun items for sale from 50p upwards. The shop is next to the play area so we can book you in for a half hour slot for both, during which you can send the children to the gift shop in smaller groups.
Cost: Varied
Goody bags
We can arrange with the gift shop to make you up goody bags before your visit. You just need to tell us what you want in them – your free planning and preparation visit is a good time to decide on this.
Cost: Variable, suitable for all budgets.
Craft activities
We can open the craft room for your children to make a badge, fridge magnet, brass rubbing or a cardboard duck hat after your guided sessions.
Cost: 60p or £1.50 per item
Bird seed
Many of our ducks and geese will come up for a nibble and many will even eat grain from your hand, if you approach the birds gently. A very valuable experience for children (and adults!)
Cost: £1 per bag
